CDMX Ball
90 Panels
Various Materials
adidas challenged me to make a ball using recycled materials sourced on a trip to Mexico City to celebrate the launch of the 2022 Mexico Jersey.
The design is loosely based on the 92 panel construction, but the middle section is connected with a skyline as viewed from the most significant footballing location we could find (the famous stadium, Estadio Azteca) looking towards Qatar. The green shapes are based on the pattern on the Mexico jersey.
The ball is constructed using materials we sourced on the trip. There's 3 balls in the series. Each one based around a different location. Mexico City, Los Angeles, and NYC.
